Humble Roots
Inspired by founder Ann’s great-grandmother Maria Nila who had a deep love for the planet and its animals, the brand was created by the Wikström family from a garage in the South of Sweden back in 1999.

Furry friends aside, Maria Nila uses CO2-compensated packaging to mitigate climate change. They also partnered with ZeroMission and Plan Vivo to climate compensate for their total CO2 emissions. Since the initiative kicked off in 2016, Maria Nila has contributed to the planting of 240000m2 of forest in Nicaragua.
