Take a small section of hair and wrap it around the tapered barrel, starting at the base of the section and wrapping towards the tip.
Hold the hair in place for a few seconds, then release and move on to the next section.
Repeat until all sections of hair have been curled.
Allow the curls to cool and set for a few minutes.
