It felt far less ‘clunkier’ than other Hair Dryers, due to the lightweight digital motor, but it still packed the power you would expect from a great Hair Dryer. The ionic and ceramic brushless digital motor technology did make a difference during styling, with this Hair Dryer never getting too hot and my hair left feeling smooth, shiny, and free of frizz and flyaways. I also love that this high-tech Hair Dryer is made in Italy. A big plus!

Cloud Nine Alchemy Touch Iron is the ultimate lazy girls Hair Straightener! All you do to heat this Hair Styling Tool is press the plates together and voila, you’re good to go. To reduce the temperature, you tap the plates together three times. Cloud Nine never disappoints with their Hair Styling Tools and this Hair Straightener is no exception, making the Styling process super easy, fast, and frizz-free. The results were incredibly glossy and smooth and once I set the Hair Straightener down, it turned itself off after 30 seconds. Clever and quick? Tick, Tick.

7- The Tech: Infrared Technology heats from the inside, out - rather than placing heat on the surface of the Hair Cuticle.   

The Tool:  

Mermade Hair Aircurl made curling my hair super-easy, and I was really impressed with the condition afterward. As with all Mermade Hair Tools, creating perfect curls is a priority. Utilising Heat Styling air-powered technology, this Hair Curler delivered 360° airflow via a 32mm barrel. I found it super easy to wrap my sectioned hair around this perfect-sized barrel and the heat settings allowed me to vary the temperature based on what area of my hair I was curling. This Heat Styling Tool is best on dry or 90% dry hair, and I found the results were always free of flyaways and super bouncy. My hair never felt too hot to touch after using this Air Curler either.

8 - The Tech: Steam Technology is super clever Hair Styling tech, keeping hair hydrated while Heat Styling.  

The Tool:  

LÓreal Steampod 4.0 delivered a continuous flow of dry steam into the hair. I loved the idea of this Hair Styler technology, and the process was seamless too. Once I filled the water tank attachment, the Hair Straightener started to steam gently, like an iron would. I found the design user-friendly and lightweight considering it had the extra water tank attachment and the wider ceramic plates. The steam made it easy to get close to the roots without burning my scalp so this would be a perfect choice for all Hair Types - particularly curly hair that may be prone to losing moisture. Overall, this steam technology did feel like it was a gentle Hair Tool to try.

9 - The Tech: Wet to Dry technology takes the damage out of drying wet or damp hair.   

The Tool:   

ghd Duet Style 2-in-1 Hot Air Styler dries damp and wet hair via vents that adapt heat to how much moisture your hair is holding. I love the idea of this as I’m often caught out with damp or wet hair on the fly and need to get my best hair on in record time. ghd always brings the hair tech you need, and the Air-Fusion delivers. The technology allowed me to get my hair from fresh-out-of-the-shower to Salon-worthy without too much trouble. I’d advise sectioning hair well, so you really get into the roots and remove all moisture in the hair first, but once you have dry hair, the Shine Shot on this ghd Duet Style then switches the mode to Style. In a world of ever-shrinking Hair Styling Tools, this ghd Hair Dryer and Hair Styler hybrid is on the larger side, so maybe don’t plan to pack it in your carry-on.
